Registration for Winter Term professional development participants will be accepted through January 23; all class sessions will be recorded, and you can stream any session you miss.
The Winter Term course “The Smart Grid and Sustainable Communities: Making the Connections” focuses on the future of the electricity industry in the Pacific Northwest. Participants will explore the implications of new and emerging technologies, business and regulatory models, consumer empowerment, and other opportunities to support a cleaner, more climate-friendly & sustainable energy future.
The Spring Term course “Making the Smart Grid Work in the Real World” deepens the knowledge base with regular class sessions and presentations; it also provides opportunities to apply this knowledge to “real world” projects.
Both terms are treated much like a graduate seminar in which participants, a seven-person faculty team, and nationally known guest presenters work closely together.
